Yay, I got a tattoo

Okay, so with some crafty html work I can show you my little tattoo experience!

Here’s me right after I got my tattoo, I am just not wanting to open my eyes at all. I got my tattoo while listening to Sufjan Stevens! Woo!

This is the tattoo I got, it’s a copy of Picasso’s dove of peace. Lovely!

Here’s the drawing I showed my tattoo artist. He was younger than me, and I am not that old. I mean, I am in my mid 20s, but he was YOUNGER THAN ME. WTF?!

In conclusion: apparently the foot is the most painful, and if you can get through a tattoo on your foot, you can get a tattoo anywhere. I am happy to say I survived. Yes, it hurt. The vibrations from the needle shook my whole foot. Apparently it actually only took ten minutes to do the tattoo, but I can tell you that it felt like an hour. Those were the slowest ten minutes of my life. The first outline didn’t hurt, but oh man when he went over the lines again it felt like someone was snipping my skin with nail clippers. Not crying pain, and I could carry on a conversation, but it hurt!

Now I want more, more moore!!!

That looks really good!! I’ve heard that once you get one tattoo it becomes a little addicting…

That is the best tattoo ever! Good job not crying like a baby 🙂 Tattoos are addictive, so watch out!

I love it! I would like to get a ladybug on my foot (I almost did last weekend). But as the others have mentioned, they are addictive…I’ve managed to wait 6 years since my last one, but I have a list….

I love it! So pretty 🙂 I’ve been wanting to get one on my foot, but I have heard that it’s pretty painful.

Tattoos are addicting. I have a Celtic triskelion on my lower back and a shamrock on my, uh, how do I explain it? Kind of near my pelvic bone…I think. Whatever. That one hurt SO BAD!! I actually was crying a bit because it’s colored in and that killed me. The one on my back didn’t, though.

Now go get another one! Woo-hoo!

    Very pretty tattoo!

I thought about getting something on my foot. I’d like a tattoo one day, but I want it in a spot that I can cover easily so when I’m 60 it’s not hangin’ out all saggy-like. That’s why the foot is a great spot. Or any shin patch that will stay reasonably firm over time…

Haha, I was thinking about the placement last night. I was thinking about what shoes that old ladies wear and how my foot would look when I was like 80, and I think it will still be lookin’ pretty sweet. Plus, a grandma with a tattoo?! AWESOME.

Also, I reccomend a foot tattoo to all of you that mention that you want it. You probably already look there, but if you enter “BME” on google, it takes you to a site with a ton of tattoo photos. Also, I tried looking on flickr by doing a search for “tattoo” and a lot of really nice ones come up on there too.

Thought I’d say hi – I see your name on Mountains/Blue Sunday’s blog all the time. I love your tattoo! My fiance and I are getting them as wedding gifts for each other, and even though I got one in college, I’m petrified of the pain all of the sudden! You give me hope!

Also, it looks like some of Zelda’s hair was stuck to my foot for the photo I took of the tattoo. It seems to be coming out of the dove’s beak!

Oooo, so pretty! And I love that you put it on your foot. If I ever got the courage to get a tattoo that’s where I would do put it too.

You should do it! It’s not as bad as you might think, but I think it’s one of those things that you can’t really describe the feeling of until you have it done.

Also, my foot looks a little effed up in this photo, so maybe I will take another photo today. It’s actually not red at all anymore, but you can feel where the ink is because the skin is a little raised (though it should go away). It’s pretty neat!

Next up I might get a nice, nerdy tattoo of the deathly hallows symbol, or I am thinking of getting a pug tattoo of a design I am trying to figure out right now. It is certainly addictive!

I LURVE the tattoo! Good choice! I, too, have tattoos – 4 so far, but plan to get more if I can ever afford it! They’re addicting!

Got your email and plan to respond. :o) xoxox
