Come to Alberta and you might just get plucked from the streets by an enormous bird of prey! Someone working on an oil field outside of my hometown took this photo this past week. I am staying inside the rest of the winter!!!
holy CRAP!! Is that a fox being taken? Be sure you look after Little Winston and Zelda.
The Grand Duke
That is indeed one the most frightening things I’ve ever seen.I remember once walking in Nose Hill Park and seeing a hawk circling me, and I was actually really uneasy. Now I know why!
That’s funny, cuz “Holy crap!” was the first thing out of my mouth, too!
Yeah this thing could pretty much pick me up! I didn’t know birds this big lived out here!!!
That is scary! Hold on to you pugs when outside….
Remember that scene in Fubar where the trashy dude was talking about how he got in a fight with a hawk because he had meat on his hands and he had to punch the hawk? Oh man, I hate this province.
Also, the Fox is totally like “WTF, MAN!?” and the hawk is all like “IM IN UR SNOWFIELDS PWNING UR SCAVENGERS!”
That’s a great picture
Man, I like birds of prey, but fuck that guy.
That is freaking AWESOME.
You know, I lived in Alberta for 20 years and I just moved from there to New Brunswick. This is one of the reasons I left. You just never know when some bird of prey is going to pluck you off of Whyte Avenue!
