Seriously. This conversation just happened outside my office.

Person 1: "Did you just do what I think you did?"
Person 2: *laughs*
Person 1: "Seriously, did you just do that?"
Person 2: "Well, a bobby pin usually works better to get all the junk out of your ear."
Person 1: "Are you SERIOUS?!  Have you ever heard of a q-tip?!?!"
Person 2: "Naw, naw.  You need somethin' sharp to get in there!"

I’m sure your little Winston is fine. Us Wistons are a tough and hardy lot.

Gross! Bobby pins are for hair, and not anything else!

Yeah, one of my co-workers told her to try sticking a knife in her ear if she wanted something sharp!

    HAHAHHAHA. Oh my silly job.

I would’ve suggested a drill. Preferably diamond tipped. That’ll get to the root of the problem.

Apparantly, q-tips just compact the wax into the ear, causing more trouble.

    Grow your nails people

    Scoop it outta there.

I was told by Steve that in China they use something that looks like a tiny spoon to get the earwax out of your ear. He said it worked really well.

Considering the gross ear picker is the co-worker I don’t like, I am fond of the knife suggestion!

On my mom’s mission in South America they all used the bobby pin method. The thin in japan i’ve seen before, its made of plastic with the idea of the bobby pin that it kinda scrapes the sides.

oh god, who sadly knew that I was up on ear wax mechanisms. Oh god.
