What the deuce?

I’ve realized today that I’m in a very strange spot. Most of the people I know in this city that are my age are working part-time jobs, and just seem to be in a completely different place than me.
Then there’s the people who I work with. These people are all 20 years older than me, and are in a completely different place than me.
What happens to people in their 20s when they get full-time jobs? Where is everyone?

Anyone there?

Poop.

I know what you mean! It’s wierd when you feel like you are in a different place than the people you grew up with.

When I started working in an office I befriended ladies who were not much younger than my mom – but I never saw them as a “mom” but a friend. Bizarre.

They all disappear indoors, caught somewhere between the fear of losing their youth and the onset of a mid life crisis.

Actually, they’re all getting their masters so they can fast forward to geo physicist in two years and make $50,000 more a year than you and I make.

Some of the people I know in the 20s and with full-time jobs work with the oil and gas industry and most of them aren’t terribly exciting.

But just you wait! Give me a couple of years! (At least I hope so!)
