I am going to do better. I will post more, I SWEAR! I just have to do some minor blog consulting for a few other people and some design stuff and I’ll be into it. You’d think after garnering enough attention to actually do a small consult that I’d spend a lot of time on my blog.
Lord knows I forget things so quickly that I ought to really be writing things down.
Like how I’ve never told you about Golnar (yes, that’s a real name). She works at a convenience store by my house and I have no idea what she’s saying. I’m almost scared to even look at her because her name is so terrifying.
Also, did you know they have flavored creamers at 7-Eleven? Like, the little ones that you get at Denny’s? I DIDN’T KNOW THIS! Thank god for my sister’s knowledge of this luxurious product. Now I can stuff them in my purse next time I visit one.

My sister just left after visiting with my niece for a few days over the long weekend. I’m pretty sure that because I am going to be alone tonight until 11pm that I will likely be lonely.
You have a 6 year old around and then BOOM, they are gone and there’s no noise. What will I do?!
I miss my sister and my niece already, waaaah *insert copious amounts of whining here*
However, I do love Vancouver, so at least I still get to live somewhere awesome.
Also, I am very gassy today. I can’t think why. I eat the same crap every day! Except today I am eating grapes, but I’m pretty sure grapes don’t make you fart.
Or do they??

After so many years of blogging, I actually put my mad skills to use and did a review on Canadian Beauty, a blog founded by a Canadian that’s really for anyone to read. Check out my article here!
After that mess with the strawberries, I read that you can use them to whiten your teeth. WHY DIDN’T I KNOW THIS? I could have been mashing pounds of berries on my teeth for good use. I guess eating them is just as good. I don’t really understand how a strawberry can whiten teeth, so if anyone wants to enlighten me, feel free.
In completely different news, I finally paid for another year of flickr, which means I can now see me 1700 photos, or however the hell many there are on there! I really ought to get back into the habit of taking photos. I really enjoy it and I’m not too bad at it. I completely farked up on cherry blossom season though, as most of the blossoms are gone now. Hopefully I’ll get some good shoots in this summer though.
Also, my sister and niece are coming to Vancouver next week! YUSSSSSS! Should be a good time. I get to do all the cool Vancouver stuff like go to the aquarium and ride the aquabus. I’m sure a trip to Granville Island is also in order! I could probably eat all of Granville Island. God the food there is good. If you’re ever in Vancouver, do yourself a favor and eat a meal somewhere on Granville Island. Your tastebuds will thank you. And maybe you’ll be lucky enough to be attacked by one of the ENORMOUS seagulls we have out here too. Seriously, these things are mutants. They are the size of a pug. I think I saw one wearing a gold chain and smoking a cigarette! Don’t look them directly in the eyes either, they’ll stare you down while another seagull steals your wallet!

Well, it’s not May the 4th anymore, so I ought to update so you don’t have to look at that pic anymore.
This morning I swallowed spit down the wrong pipe, which led to choking…while driving. If you want to spice up your driving during rush hour, I highly suggest choking.
I am currently staring at a small box of strawberries I bought two days ago on sale. These are too many fucking strawberries for me to eat! I am on strawberry overload! I need to remember this next time I look at a pound of strawberries. JUST SAY NO. I suppose I get sick of strawberries easily though, so maybe I’m just fruitist.
Also, if anyone wants to drop me off some veggie sushi, I would probably kiss you on the mouth.

Working with Animals

I guess I should clarify now that I’m back on track. Around the beginning of March my two bosses called all of the employees in (all 3 of us) and said that the business was doing shitty. They might have to shut down.
Then they had a private meeting with each of us.
My meeting consisted of me being told that because I was Admin, I was a luxury and didn’t bring any money in.
*Even though I billed all of the clients. And made sure the bills were paid. And rounded up slow-paying clients.*
So because I didn’t technically put in any “billable” time.
I either had to accept the offer of working one to two days a week (NOT POSSIBLE) or I had to find a new job.
So I found a new job.
And I guess I shouldn’t describe it as an animal shelter because technically we don’t have a shelter. But we work with animals and help people pay emergency vet bills and try to keep animals out of the circus, rodeo, etc. That’s probably all I ought to say about it because we all know what happened when I was too forthcoming with job info on my blog.
Now I work with 4 dogs, which is pretty nice. I get to take breaks to pet and walk dogs instead of writing invoices. I can get used to this! I even got to bring the pugs to work with me already. That ended up being a bit much as the dogs were on sensory overload from smelling so many smells from other dogs. Or maybe it’s because Winston peed on 5 things. Either way, I’m glad there’s a carpet cleaner here.
